THE POET'S CORNER
Spring Seeds
Spring seeds sown into ground astound themselves by bursting open tender fledgling leaves, dumbfound themselves, blooming out of earth’s womb on strong stems. Unafraid of birth into hot sunlight, as raindrops answer thirsty prayers, they reach for unstoppable leafy heights. A growing sea of green hope is everywhere. ©2005 Lee Collins
Eulogy For My Father
(Off Beacon Street) He lives, becoming waters Harbor dusks of shimmy sunsets Courts the twilight of western downs Fading from my watch - sweet gazes Memorized and blue - remains A recipe of stars and dark Sails my sailor home Into his midnight--safely. ©2005 Jim Lyon
World
To us, the world is a very large place. The great blue shy, wide-open ocean. Looking up, there is infinite space. Looking out, there is constant motion, But are we really insignificant? When love kicks in, earth is defeated World is all one person, Heaven’s grant And life becomes finally completed. ©2005 E. Teng
The Night Air
Night air is calling to me. Every cell in my body longs to disperse into blue-black sky. Cool wind whispers to me, myriad voices of the night enchant my ears. Each point of light in the heavens is an eye or a gateway to another possibility. My soul is lifted, becoming one with all--encompassing. I call to other wandering souls who yearn to breathe the night air. ©2005 Aire Norell
Writing is like...
a little seed waiting to sprout and once we water it, it grows blossoming into a story or poem that nourishes other souls. ©2005 Albert Lee Moran
The Sorceress
I am the Sorceress... my fingers weave the clouds, My breath whispers the tall grass. My tears are the falling leaves. The dark ocean is the pool of my eyes. The four winds carry my thoughts, the lightning executes my wrath. I speak in the waterfall and my songs set in motion the stars. The liquid night is my nectar, the sun’s light-my ambrosia. ©2005 Aire Norell
