When the issues regarding money, math or performance begin to experience healing, the task of caring for our finances becomes a heart centered service.
As the New Year energy rolls into 2008, we can take advantage of this opportunity to use this energy in our own life––particularly in the area of finances and accounting––an area of life many feel uneasy navigating through. It is an honor to be of healing service to ourselves, our families, our clients and to humanity. However, minor details such as managing our personal or business finances may soon become a chore as the bank statements, receipts and bills begin to pile. Soon, procrastination begins to set in and soon, a small (or large) pile of paper needs to be sifted, coded and organized.
Finances and Accounting need not be a source of intimidation in our lives. Numbers are merely symbols that convey a value. However, the issues beneath the surface of the numerical values are often the cause for procrastination, avoidance or neglect. When the issues regarding money, math or performance begin to experience healing, the task of caring for our finances becomes a heart centered service.
To begin healing the issues of money and personal money management, it is important to surround ourselves with supportive resources. There are many authors on prosperity and wealth who bring healing and new thought to our consciousness: 20th century authors such as Catherine Ponder, Wallace D. Wattles, Napoleon Hill and 21st century authors such as Bob Proctor, Gerry Robert, T. Harv Eker, and Robert Kiyosaki––just to name a few. Immerse yourself in the writings of these authors and within time, your consciousness begins to respond to the common theme that “Wealth begins Within”.
You may be saying, “But HOW?” Let’s start with small steps. Getting organized begins the clearing process to bring clarity to mind so we can begin to assess what needs to take place. Here are some simple steps to begin the organization process:
1. Find a quiet place to center yourself
2. Invoke your Soul-Self and for Divine Guidance and Assistance
3. Set the intention to allow order, structure and organization to bring a clearing and healing to your financial situation.
4. Allow a moment to receive the substance of organization into your heart and Being.
5. Give Thanks and allocate time to begin organizing.
6. Program the organization process to be enjoying, enlightening and healing.
Once the spiritual intentions have been set, the practical application of being organized can take place peacefully––without resistance and judgment of oneself.
It will be easier to organize for upcoming financial statements and tax returns, if the process is broken down in small steps:
1. Separate receipts and records and categorize by month.
2. Once the information is organized by month, then separate expense receipts from income (revenue) receipts.
3. After separating expenses from income receipts, then separate expense receipts by category: office supplies, books, travel, entertainment, miscellaneous expenses, etc. Separate the income receipts by category as well: cash receipts, checks, and credit cards or direct billing receipts.
4. Once all the receipts are separated, paper clip and put in small white envelopes by category. Place these in large manila envelops by month.
5. Set aside time weekly to code receipts or give organized info to bookkeeper/CPA for coding & statement preparation.
These are simple, yet effective ways to start the organization process. Without the organization of your financial records and information, stress, fear and anxiety begin to set in. To move towards financial healing, make the intention and efforts to begin being organized. Lovingly encourage yourself daily and appreciate your efforts. Remember to be flexible with yourself to avoid judgment––our daily lives are dynamic and staying flexible allows us to learn new perspectives and maintain balance in our lives.
In essence, bless yourself, your finances and your year with good spiritual intentions and practical application. By doing so, you will begin to synthesize the substances of heaven (spirit) and earth (physical), allowing the energies to form and manifest according to your goals and intentions.
