The Shamans say
before you can claim
your power,
you must shed
your past.

It is human nature to cling to memories and forge into the future using this old programming. Your subconscious mind holds all of your memories. Although memories are not reliable, they make up our belief system.

These memories and lessons become our version of the truth. That which we believe to be true, becomes our truth. This truth resonates through our mind, body and spirit––through our emotions. The more emotion we bring to a thought or a memory, the stronger the effect will be. Everything we read, every experience we have, all we explore in this life, widens the river of truth for us.

We have the abilities to create our own journey in this life time. The first step is connecting with your higher self, your higher power, the universe. Become comfortable with your intuition. Make friends with your subconscious mind. When you are willing to move beyond belief, you are allowing for the intervention of the divine.

Allow yourself time for spiritual rituals which connect you to your power source. Choose spiritual rituals that feel good to you. These could include prayer, meditation, self hypnosis, drumming, trance dance, or a simple walk in nature. Create rituals that connect you to your higher power, strengthen your intuition and connection to your subconscious mind, where your belief system is created.

If we can perceive it, we can achieve it. Your subconscious mind is open to suggestions to change your belief system––to create a better truth for you. That which you focus on grows. Thinking positive thoughts and focusing on what you really want in your life is a powerful step in telling the universe what you want. Focus on what you want with emotion. If you focus on what you do not want and bring emotion to that, you are creating what you do not want.

Remember, ideas become impressed on your subconscious mind through your emotions.

Change in your beliefs comes through new information being introduced into your subconscious mind. It is sometimes necessary to bring out beliefs that no longer serve you to examine them, invalidate them, and install new beliefs more useful to you. Create new beliefs, as they are happening now. If you create your future, you must use the present tense. See yourself there, now. Feel what you want, now.

Also, remember as you create your truth, your subconscious mind does not differentiate how you perceive others and how you perceive yourself. So, if you are thinking bad thoughts about others, you are sabotaging yourself.

The journey from belief to truth is challenging and exciting. Make time each day for your spiritual rituals, whatever that might mean to you. Give yourself the gift of balance in mind, body and spirit. Become comfortable and trusting of your intuition. Make friends with your subconscious mind. And above all, enjoy the journey into your truth. Explore your possibilities with emotion and passion.
