What belief systems do I hold onto even though they do not support my highest good?
A Shaman is an individual who is tuned into the events around her, the people she meets, and the circumstances she finds herself in. She engages the spirit of the plant and animal kingdoms to provide insights and help her create a vision for her becoming. The Shaman calls upon the Ancestors, guides and teachers in the ascended realms, the Angels, Guardian Spirits, and the Great Spirit to guide and illuminate him. One of the most important skills a Shaman needs to develop is the tracking of energy. This ability allows the Shaman to follow the synchronistic events that present themselves and to maintain a harmony between himself, his needs, desires, intent, and vision.
We live in a universe constantly in motion, on a planet constantly in motion. Our planet has a variety of seasons which are marked by changes in the weather. Our ancestors understood there is a time to plant, a time to nurture the growth, a time to gather and enjoy the harvest, and a time to allow the land to restore itself. Most of us do not grow our own food, so it is easy to see how we may loose touch with the energy that feeds these important cycles of life. From a Shamanic perspective, it is important to harmonize ourselves with these changes and utilize the energy to support our life, our family, our work, our passion, and our destiny. Winter is a time for retrospection, evaluating the successes, failures, and lessons learned. It is a time to release that which no longer serves us, so we may be open to the new energy of Spring.
Spring is the time for formulating that which we wish to manifest, and plant the seeds of our dreams and visions. There is a new movie out, drawing a great deal of buzz called, “The Secret”. It contains a powerful message of how to create the reality we desire. I strongly suggest seeing this as an adjunct to this work. Once you have sent your vision into the universe, the next step is to feed it and nurture it. During Summer, we need to water it with the energy of your thoughts and fertilize it with positive actions. When Fall arrives you are ready to receive the harvest, the consequences of all that has come before. If you have maintained your faith and trust, the universe will match that energy and even exceed your expectations.
Sometimes it helps to look at the expectations you have held in the past. You have to be brutally honest with yourself and ask, “What belief systems do I hold onto even though they do not support my highest good?” When you find yourself repeating negative thoughts, refuse to continue to follow self-destructive thinking and replace it with images of success, happiness, and fulfillment. This is the way to grow a new vision of your becoming. This is the way you transform yourself into the person, who not only resonates with the good available to all of us, but also is able to pass this gift on to others. This is a life lived in synchronicity in a universe that is always conspiring to support us.
