Prosperity is the experience of having plenty of what we truly need and want in life, material and otherwise. ––Shakti Gawain
Acknowledge what you truly desire and create your life so you can bring these things to you. Six steps towards a prosperity attitude:
1. Gratitude. Give thanks for the prosperity you have. Make a list of all you are grateful for––big and small. Practice gratitude and find what you desire will come more easily to you.
2. Awareness of where you are now. Becoming aware of our beliefs is the first step towards changing them to support us. What messages did your family give you about money? How did your parents handle money? Complete the following sentences quickly:
Prosperity is___?
Wealth is___?
Money is___?
How would you change your beliefs about money and prosperity? Once you become aware of how your money flows in and out of your life, you can begin to make changes. A good book to help you is, The Money Drunk: 90 Days to Financial Freedom by Mark Bryan & Julia Cameron.
3. Acknowledging your true needs and desires. Take some time in a quiet, supportive place with your journal or computer. Think about what you truly want in your life, no holds barred. What do you need spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically? Why is each important to you? Recognize and acknowledge what you need––a powerful step towards creating what you want.
4. Creating a vision. This is a powerful activity I use with amazing results. Create a mental picture of your ideal life. Where are you living? How do you feel? Who is with you? What kind of work do you do? How do you make a contribution to others? How do you express yourself creatively? Create a collage of pictures to represent your ideal life. Once you can vividly imagine something, you will find life will bring you what your heart and mind truly desire.
5. Setting goals. Take action toward attaining the life in your vision. Write your goals as if they are already happening now, then make a list of small steps to take now.
6. Sharing your gifts. Sharing yourself and what you’ve learned with others is profoundly fulfilling and will impact the world consciousness positively while attracting more ideal situations to you. Write down all your gifts and talents. Write down beliefs that stop you from sharing them. Take a breath, go within, and ask yourself, are there any specific actions I need to take to bring my gifts to the world? Got your answer? Then go do it!
