Have you ever wondered how it would be to communicate at will with anyone you choose?
You can begin the process of such communication by practicing a simple technique. I call this technique dictation because it describes the actual process.
Remember that results will vary with each individual. Also, like all new abilities, you may ponder questions such as: can I do it, how do I know I’m getting it right, how long will it take to get results and, in this case, is it truly happening? Most people go through similar doubts and reservations when learning to channel. It’s normal to go through the same uncertainties with this process. Yet, if you persevere, you’ll see that you can indeed communicate. In time, when comparing the different dictations, you’ll discover that you accomplished your goal in receiving the intended information. You can also process and release any fears or blocks you may have prior to doing this practice. This is a good opportunity to learn more about your patterns.
Before beginning dictation, it’s wise as always when doing spiritual work to clear and make sacred the space where you’re working. The tools needed are paper and something to write with. Pencil is a good choice because it removes the fear of making a mistake. It alleviates any distraction or hesitancy you may have in writing a permanent letter. And you could always erase it later, making you feel more at ease from the onset. Even though you may not be someone who makes errors while writing, we’re dealing with the subconscious mind. In order to keep it flowing with no hesitation, the pencil provides freedom of expression without subconscious stress.
After finding a quiet and comfortable place to write, address the top of the paper with a question you wish to get an answer to. Close your eyes, relax, go into a light trance state, and with strong intention, connect with whom you wish to communicate. It can be your Spirit Guide, Angel, subconscious mind, or Higher Self. Then begin to write what you hear in your mind. When writing the first few sentences, it may not make much sense, but in time you’ll make a shift of not thinking about what you’re doing and merely focus on the task of writing out your thoughts. The act of writing and listening is the same process as taking dictation in an office. It’s a matter of fixing your attention, breaking the habit of thinking, and just writing and listening. This is good training for other spiritual work.
If you’ve never done this before, you’ll be amazed how simple, yet surprisingly effective, this practice can be. You’ll become delighted in how quickly you master this and it’ll be a source of joy among your spiritual practices as a tool. You’ll quickly discover how important this will become for you, and expand and build your skills accordingly. In order to grow, build psychic abilities and especially connect with the Divine, we need to build skills that first allow us to listen.
