Yoga is a bottomless ocean
of healing and energy; make
use of it in your daily life.

So many think of Yoga as either various hard and weird postures or sitting quietly for hours with eyes closed.
The body ex-ercises you see are called Hatha yoga––not always easy for everyone.

Yoga should be used for healing purposes for which is it is primarily meant. As such, it can be used at any age, any time and by anyone.

The healing yoga has deep breathing techniques, Pranayama, with which all infections, allergies, heart diseases, breathing problems and mental depression can be prevented and cured completely.

Secondly, Acu yoga, “Healing by Touch,” is another technique with your own palms and fingers touching the various nerve points. Acu yoga began in India centuries ago. It was taken to the Far East by the Buddhists, where it was developed into Acu-puncture and Acu-pressure by the specialists and professionals who cure with needles and thumb pressure.

Acu yoga has to be performed by the patient himself on himself. Another’s touch will not work. We come equipped with built-in healers––namely, our healing hands, our own touch.

Mudras are another mode of preventing and healing every kind of sickness. They require the two palms to be put together in different ways to reach the particular part of the brain which triggers off healing.
The thumb is considered in yoga to be very efficient in curing.

In Acu Yoga, one sits down comfortably, barefoot and bare headed, in a quiet, dark place and breathes deeply for a while. There should be no sound, nor any disturbance.

Then, put the two palms on the top of the head and start moving them gently round, sending the cosmic energy to the brain, to the heart and to the whole body.

Now, press the two thumbs gently on either temple to relax, to get over headaches, pain, tension, to get a good sleep, to get a good memory; the temple is major nerve center.

Now, move the index finger on the point between the two eye brows gently round, one way, to conquer rage and depression––the two killers. You need to get rid of them. Now change hands and move the index finger the other way. A true yogi is always calm and collected within himself.

Now, take the two index fingers, one behind each ear, and move them up and down gently; this is a pain killer and tranquilizer for the whole body.

Next, put each hand behind the neck and move four fingers on each side round and round, gently. Let all the tension flow downwards and leave you.

Then, move your hands on the side from the neck to arm, one way, six times. Change hands. Don’t press at all. Just the touch heals.

Bring the hands downwards only on the back, one way, on each side. Finally, move a palm round and round at the base of the backbone. Then change hands.

Take a few deep breaths. This is just an example of curing with Acu yoga.

With Mudras, the palms are touched to produce cosmic energy and healing. That is why we pray with the palms touching; in the East, we greet each other in that way. In India it is called “Namaste” meaning “My Divine self greets your Divine self. “

Yoga is a bottomless ocean of healing and energy; make use of it in your daily life.
