We all practice self- hypnosis every day without even realizing it. The words you speak are actually going right into your subconscious mind.
Have you ever contemplated being human and wondered what is so good about it? You only have to go to the book store and read the current titles to start to get clues––The Gift of Change, Ask and It Is Given, Manifest Your Destiny, and Use Your Brain Potential are just a few that come to mind.
We have the gift of choice and can choose to make changes in our lives. We have the ability to change our health and fitness levels. We can create our future with a balance of money, career, friends, family, relationships, contribution to the world, and a connection to our higher power.
Change will happen to you. It happens to all of us and we learn and grow from change. If you want something new, something old must change. And, also, that which you focus on, grows. So, doesn’t it make sense to use our powerful connection to the universe and define what it is that we really want? How do you want to change? What do you want to change? I challenge you to use your wonderful mind to create your successful, healthy future. It is part of your human experience.
Have you ever had a change in your life that you didn’t learn or grow from––something that may have seemed dreadful at the time, but as you look back on it, you actually learned something from it? Take a few moments and reflect on the changes you have experienced in your life.
Lance Armstrong recently said, “I had cancer and grew from the experience in ways I could not have imagined”. Wayne Dyer says “Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change”.
I find it interesting how some people welcome change. They embrace it, create it, and even see it as an adventure that life brings––while other people dislike change intensely. Perhaps we feel uncomfortable with change because we fear the unknown, we’re in our comfort zone, or we just liked it the old way. Some people, blame change on others, allowing them to become the victim.
How many of you actually wish for change? I wish I could loose 10 lbs. or I wish I had better relationships. I challenge you to create your own changes.
Take out a piece of paper or a journal and start to define what you really want for yourself. Do you want more money? How much? Be specific as you define what you really want for your life. Take a few minutes to create some fresh, crisp, clear ideas about your future. Getting the results you want is closely tied to your thoughts.
Your subconscious mind is very powerful. When you talk to yourself verbally or in your thoughts, you are using your inner voice for self-hypnosis. If you are placing negative thoughts around your future, you are sabotaging yourself. If you write down what you want and then say “I probably won’t get it”. Guess what? So surround your future with positive thoughts and words. Speak kindly to yourself. Stay focused on the possible.
We all practice self-hypnosis every day without even realizing it. The words you speak are actually going right into your subconscious mind. They are being accepted and believed on a very deep level and we often repeat these suggestions many times over each day. You have a very big influence on what happens in your human experience. You are the captain of your ship with the power to create.
As you start to define your future, make sure your goals are aligned with your values. They should be simple, measurable, meaningful to you, realistic and achievable. Use only positive wording. Your goals should reflect balance in your life. If you only concentrate on money and career, perhaps your family, relationships, personal growth or health will suffer. Balance is the key to a happy, successful, productive, rewarding future.
And remember as you walk along your human path, it is progress, not perfection, that gets us closer to all of the good things about being human. The faster the changes are approaching you, the more important it becomes to slow down internally. Connect yourself with your source. Practice prayer, meditation, or self-hypnosis daily. Take deep breaths, relax, and pay attention to your forever-changing being.
