What Really Happened?  Learn about Bennie LeBeua & Mary Norris

Big Bear Lake Snows
The area around Big Bear Lake has experienced years of severe drought, the infestation of bark beetles and devastating fires. On the night of October 26th, it experienced more snow than had ever been recorded in any full month of October. It was followed by rains, and another astonishing storm in the week following November 15th. Alerted by the first storm, an ABC News camera crew taped more than two hours of a ceremony at Big Bear that day. That footage was picked up by the AP News, and was shown subsequently by other networks including KNBC whose baffled meteorologists asked anyone who had been there to please call the newsroom and report what they had seen! The series of ceremonial events at the core of these events is the focus of this brief report.

Big Bear SnowsThese ceremonies were led by Bennie LeBeau, an Eastern Shoshone spiritual teacher from Wind River, Wyoming. Acting upon visions he had as a child, he is building large medicine wheels to repair breaks in the Mother Earth’s grids, which he compares to our bodies’ nervous system and to the patterns of the Flower of Life. When Bennie sings and drums, the rocks vibrate.

Mary Norris is a healer and teacher from Houston who has a profound connection with the Divine Mother (nurturer) and Divine Father (tool-giver) and has built the Norri Healing Institute upon three decades of experiments, listening and watching. When Mary prays, great tides of energy open in the other Planes.

Big Bear Lake 2004 SnowsMary and Bennie met in September at Journey to the Heart, a retreat that had included shamans and spiritual elders from thirty countries. Ceremonies were done at that time to help the trees and bring the waters back. People from Big Bear invited Bennie to come teach them what they might do as an alternative to the ecologically destructive practice of cloud seeding that was planned by the city. Mary decided to come in and support Bennie.

On October 25th, Bennie and Mary with six others went to a sacred place on Mt. Baldy used in the past. We were greeted by fog at the place of the ceremony. As she prepared, Mary’s belly became as full as a woman nine months pregnant. Her fervent prayer, observed by two excellent clairvoyants, opened an energy portal in the wall we were facing releasing great tides of energy from this great mountain to support the work we were asking to do at Big Bear. Those “programs” or prayers were carried on that fog east to Big Bear to prepare the area for what was to happen the following day.

On the 26th, about twenty residents of Big Bear came to the all-day teach-in led by Bennie and Mary, who shared their understanding and blended their teachings from widely different wisdom traditions to clarify what was to happen and how it would come about. There were songs and drumming and a circle dance. Some clairvoyants watched as whirlwinds came up that reconnected the ley lines and “anchor” points in that area that had been broken by roads, mining, development and high tension lines.

It was still quite warm at 10:30 that night, though winds swirled around high above the ground. Awakening to two feet of snow on the ground at 7:00 the next morning was astonishing and thrilling! There was a sense that every snowflake carried the messages of the special vibration of those prayers and ceremony.

Bennie continued for two weeks to build a “modest” Medicine Wheel of about 240 miles in diameter (compared with the 1200 mile wheel he had built centered on Yellowstone and the Tetons!), extending from the ocean to the high desert with Big Bear as its center, “anchored” at eight strategic points on mountains and rivers that could hold these high energies.

On the 15th of November, there was a final ceremony with both indigenous tribal peoples and others of good will, gathered at each of the points and in the center near the lake.

Through song, dance, prayer and joy the connections in all directions were strengthened to heal the trees so they can once again support all of the animal and other life forms that depend upon them.

Many things were seen and experienced that day, and many Great Ones and other beings came in to help and support us, the two-legged children who were weeping for the life forms outside of ourselves. The prayers were heard. There is so much we can do together!
