A Sufi is one who is on the path of spiritual learning.
Contemplate the following story of Hassan, a great Sufi mystic.
Existence heaps thousands of opportunities in front of you to help your spiritual growth. It is important for you to be open to them. An important lesson may come in the form of a book, a friend or a loving animal.
Publisher's Description:
A practical book on meditation and enlightenment, a must read for any spiritual seeker. A more poetic Eckhart Tolle; Kahlil Gibran meets Krishnamurti. Ilie Cioaras message is original and unique, as he never travelled to India and never belonged to any traditional school. By practicing the silence of the mind, through an all-encompassing attention, we discover and fulfill our innermost potential of becoming one with the divine spark that lies dormant within us.
"Having studied Ilie Cioaras inspired book, I am quite convinced that if its wonderfully wise contents are read diligently, and its prescribed practise is persistenly followed, then it will gradually and gracefully lead the fortunate reader to his or her own Self Realisation." Alan Jacobs, Poet and President of the Ramana Maharshi Foundation UK

We all have lousy days––days where nothing seems to go our way. How is it that some people manage to come out unharmed, while others fall prey to anger, frustration, and anxiety? In this article, we’ll explore a stereotypical “awful day” and see how one might deal with it in the “normal way,” as well as, the “meditation way.”

In one of my recent meditations I was reminded that because we are human, we need to balance our mind, body, and spirit. When one part of us is not getting enough attention, we begin to feel unbalanced in some way.
This is a balancing process that my inner guides described to me:
Use these basic steps to balance your mind, body, and spirit: (especially when you feel stress of any kind)
1. Close your eyes and imagine a circle of any size in front of you.
2. Divide it into 3 equal parts (like parts of a pie or a pizza).
3. Name each part: B (Body), M (for Mind,) S (for Spirit)
(You can even imagine each part having a different color if you'd like.)
4. Open your eyes softly just for a minute.

The beauty and raw energy of the California coast cannot be beat in my opinion. I took these photos on a camping trip at Big Sur. Sit back and relax, let the waves wash away your cares and the tall trees lift you to heaven. The music is by Allen Burns from his CD Dancing to the Edge of the Universe.
