Symptoms in Homeopathy
A basic premise of Homeopathy is remedies work because they trigger the body's own healing abilities. The theory of Homeopathy was founded more than 200 years ago, by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843), a German physician. During his intensive research and personal study, he concluded that when any substance––plant, animal or mineral––is taken in excess, the body responds with certain symptoms. When these substances are taken in a highly diluted form, they can relieve the same symptoms they originally induced at the higher dosage. The concept is "Like cures Like."A basic premise of Homeopathy is remedies work because they trigger the body's own healing abilities. Unlike antibiotics and other modern medicines designed to kill germs or inhibit their growth, Homeopathic remedies are thought to alter the conditions that make the body susceptible to infection.
Who is the most important person in the world? Just use your imagination and think. Who is it? I’ll give you a hint. It is not the wealthiest, not the most influential and not the most important person in the world today.
The most important person in the world today is defined by the letter “I”. The verb “to be” means to exist and take up space on the planet. The first person singular form of the verb “to be” is “I am”. “I am” defines that I exist. The word “I” defines the most important person in the world today.
Every individual person reacts to his environment as the most important person within that environment.
Imagine your mate, friends or co-workers filling in so you can have time off to relax during your period. Imagine those same people eager to hear about your experiences. Imagine the experiences of your menstrual time being so revered and honored that your good feelings last all month.
Imagine looking forward to your menstrual period!
Sounds far fetched? Yet, in essence, these traditions were practiced by tribal societies.
This is the first of a series of in-depth articles about Homeopathy by Dr. Iqbal
The founder of homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann, was born on April 10th, 1755 at Meissen, in Saxony, Germany. He was the son of an Artisan, a porcelain painter. His childhood was humble, and he attended Meissen High School by becoming a servant in the house of one of the masters. Hahnemann received a classical education, and was a top student in the languages of Greek and Latin.
In 1775, at the age of twenty, Hahnemann started his studies of medicine in Leipsic. He made his living by giving instruction in German and French and by translating English books into German. In 1779, he received a degree as an M.D.
