After lots of practice Violet found she could actually stand on her head. It had felt like an unachievable feat when she first joined the yoga group. The world certainly appeared to be a very different place viewed upside down. At home she would frequently try to stand on her head in the dining room when everyone else was out but far from feeling enlightened she found herself appalled at the amount of dust under the dining room table! Here she was some time later however, not only able to stand on her head successfully but sit in the Lotus position. Not many fellow students could claim to be able to do that .

The lovely scent of the incense burner and calming music made Violet feel nurtured and happy. At the end of each session there was a wonderful meditation period when the teacher thanked the angels for being with them. Violet went out into the world again calm and renewed. The yoga group bonded together extremely well they were friendly and welcoming and the social tea break was most enjoyable and not the least part of why Violet had joined. Meeting new people in a new town was proving to be rather difficult until she found this lovely group of people.

Summer was approaching fast when the yoga teacher announced she would be inviting anyone who wished, the opportunity to spend a weekend in the peaceful surroundings of the country - side where hopefully they would enjoy an al fresco yoga experience. The idea thrilled Violet she vowed to ask her husband if he could take charge of the children for a couple of days whilst she took a well- earned break. He looked a little crestfallen but readily agreed. He was after all. The reason they had moved so far away from family and friends. Lots of new colleagues and social events surrounded him in his new job and he did understand that Violet must find a life for herself in this new location. It was decided therefore that she should attend and with a glad heart Violet put her name down for the summer weekend. 

The philosophy behind the yoga practice had somewhat surprised Violet; she had never before belonged to a leisure group with a spiritual input, and had found it all fascinating. She did however, experience a few worries as to how exactly she would fit in with this aspect but resolved to continue and concentrate and hope all would be revealed and she would feel worthy of group membership.

The weekend arrived and the group set off by coach in bright warm sunshine. Violet felt her heart lift at the feeling of new adventures and a couple of days purely for herself. The wonderful countryside began to unfold and it was breathtakingly beautiful. The coach pulled up at a lodge by the side of a wonderful lake and Violet found to her delight that her little bedroom had the most fantastic view across the lake. Dinner that evening was delicious, Violet thought to herself this weekend is going to be incredibly happy If anything the following morning sunshine was even warmer than the previous day, and immediately after breakfast the yoga teacher announced that their first session would begin shortly. Collecting her mat and bottle of water Violet joined her group on the front porch. 

The teacher announced that they would be heading along the valley road to a little wooded peaceful area. After walking for ten minutes or so they arrived a beautiful little clearing with a view through the trees to the lake below, it was quite idyllic. The morning session set the scene for a wonderful couple of days and when the last session was announced Violet felt terribly sad. The whole experience had been more than she could ever have imagined it did feel life changing. The philosophy especially was just so much more meaningful in those wonderful surroundings, Violet felt at one with nature the angels and her companions.

It was late afternoon and the wooded glade was lit with sunshine pouring through the trees and dappling the floor of the clearing. The teacher announced it would be their final meditation before leaving. Violet was immediately transported, her mind clear and untroubled, it was an experience like no other and she felt wonderful. Suddenly she found herself engulfed in a vision, even though her eyes were closed she could see down into the valley.  Stretching before her were row upon row of angels in coloured robes, hundreds bowing their heads and joining in the meditation.  

She was surrounded also by the most fantastic music and a sensation almost of levitating. Slowly the vision began to fade and Violet returned to the present awe struck by what had just happened. She did however, understand at once the meaning of her vision, she had at last tapped into to the spiritual energy of the angels., She felt blessed by the angels and truly at last to have a head start on life!
