"Avoiding grief is impossible. Grief is a message." The week-long training event, which I'd spent a great deal of time preparing for was set to begin in a few hours. I was the lead trainer and people had come from all over the country to attend.

As I prepared, my cell phone rang. My close friend Dee, who had been battling a severe illness, had just died. Up until now, she had been improving and I was not prepared for this devastating news. Despite this news, I had to conduct training and motivate others to learn.

Sugar is prevalent in much of what we consume and hidden in many of our foods. While many say it is not addictive, we are easily tempted to eat foods that provide little more than a temporary pleasure.

One product of the last few decades that has been showing up in all manner of food, from fruit-flavored drinks to energy bars, from low-fat yogurt to English muffins is High-Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS). Made from corn starch, HFCS contains two basic sugars, fructose (55%) and glucose (45%). It tastes sweeter than regular sugar and is less expensive to produce, thus making it an economic decision for food manufacturers to use. And use it they do, extensively. Recently, there has been some evidence that HFCS, specifically the fructose, is absorbed into our systems differently than regular sugar, altering our metabolic-regulating hormones, causing the liver to kick out more fat into the bloodstream.

How do you reduce pain? Think green--green vegetables!
Green vegetables help to balance the body's blood pH factor, bringing it into a slightly alkalize state which helps to reduce pain caused by inflammation and fatigue. When the body's internal environment is in an overly acidic pH state it is in pain and numerous health problems can arise in addition to inflammation and fatigue. Chronic acidity diminishes the body's internal oxygen supply and supports disease-producing microorganisms.

Eating alkalizing foods such as green vegetables is an easy and effective way to help the body maintain a proper acid-alkaline balance. I also encourage my clients to get a food chart of alkalizing foods and to read about acid-alkalize balance.

Good water is essential to body cleansing. Your body goes down fast without water.Making up almost three-fourths of the body, every cell is regulated, monitored and dependent on an efficient flow of water. Not one of the processes in our bodies could take place without water. What does our body do with all that water?

Water is the adhesive that bonds your cell architecture. When you get enough water fluid retention decreases, and gland and hormone functions improve.

--Water regulates your body temperature, maintains your equilibrium and helps the liver break down and release more fat.

There are almost as many different weight loss problems as there are people who have them.

Identify your most prominent weight loss obstacle first. Your body will often take care of the rest. If a lingering problem stills exists, address it with additional supplementation after the first program is well underway and producing noticeable results.

Imagine looking forward to your menstrual period!

Imagine your mate, friends or co-workers filling in so you can have time off to relax during your period. Imagine those same people eager to hear about your experiences. Imagine the experiences of your menstrual time being so revered and honored that your good feelings last all month.

Sounds far fetched? Yet, in essence, these traditions were practiced by tribal societies.

Symptoms in Homeopathy

Homeopathy: Natural Remedy

A basic premise of Homeopathy is remedies work because they trigger the body's own healing abilities.

The theory of Homeopathy was founded more than 200 years ago, by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843), a German physician. During his intensive research and personal study, he concluded that when any substance––plant, animal or mineral––is taken in excess, the body responds with certain symptoms. When these substances are taken in a highly diluted form, they can relieve the same symptoms they originally induced at the higher dosage. The concept is "Like cures Like."A basic premise of Homeopathy is remedies work because they trigger the body's own healing abilities. Unlike antibiotics and other modern medicines designed to kill germs or inhibit their growth, Homeopathic remedies are thought to alter the conditions that make the body susceptible to infection.

IBS Diet

Diet for IBS: IBS, or Irritable Bowel Syndrome (also known as spastic colon, and sometimes improperly termed spastic colitis) is the most common chronic health disorder in America.

IBS affects more than twice as many women as men. IBS is a physical––not psychological––disorder characterized by lower abdominal pain or discomfort, diarrhea, constipation (or alternating diarrhea & constipation), gas, bloating, and nausea. There is no cure for IBS, which is actually a dysfunction of the nervous system of the gut, but there are many very effective ways of controlling and even eliminating IBS symptoms.

Quick Fix, Natural Energy Boosters  Natural energizers have great advantages over chemical stimulants. They are supporting, rather than depleting--strong or gentle, as needed.

 1. Quick Fix Energy Boosters

• If your energy drops mid-afternoon, take a green drink. High chlorophyll superfoods like alfalfa, wheat grass, and spirulina transport more oxygen to the cells for better brain activity and energy.

• Try essential oils like peppermint, lemon or rosemary to lift your spirits and increase energy. In an experiment conducted by the American Advancement of Science on 13 key-punch operators, adding the scent of lemon at work produced a 54% decrease in errors!
