Letting go of the Great Expectations in our lives

Some cultures offer a “rite of passage“ for their boys and occasionally, their girls. A challenge of some sort, that by fulfilling, they are looked upon by others and themselves, as an adult man or woman.

The elder then shared that once you learn how to work with the tool, you no longer need it, because you will have learned what the tool has to share with you.
