A friend of mine, who lives a great distance away and is an artist and writer, recently expressed the desire to have a palm reading. I told her to use her desktop scanner and make a JPEG image of her palm prints and to email it to me. She did that and I proceeded to make a reading from the shapes of her hands and the visible lines on the palms from the JPEG image.
The shapes of her hands were mixed, indicating great versatility but the fingers were thin and psychic in nature. The fingertips themselves were spatulate and slightly rounded, those of a builder and craftsperson. Somewhat knotty joints between the phalanges illustrated a philosophical bent.
Overall, the phalanges and the thumbs showed great force of personality, but two additional signs indicated a definite leaning toward intuition. The Mount of Luna was greatly pronounced, larger in size than the Mount of Venus opposite. This was a definite sign of a psychic nature. And the Head Line, midway between the Life Line at bottom and the Heart Line at top, made a strong curve down to the Mount of Luna as it progressed across the middle of the palm, especially in the dominant hand. This showed the psychic nature making an inexorable evolution towards greater intuitive ability as the subject advanced in life.
I emailed this palm reading back to my friend. Her response was telling. "Thanks for the palm reading," she responded via email. "I've never had one done before, and yes, I do get more intuitive as I get older. Don't know if I told you, but the hours preceding 9-11 were horrendous. The night before I couldn't sleep, became very depressed and started crying for no reason. Paul [my husband] found me crashed on the couch at 2 am, and wondered what was goin' on. I remember feeling that it would be safer to sleep in the living room in case of a fire, although I had no idea why I would feel that way.”
"When Paul went to work at 5, I told him I was still depressed and said 'something really bad is gonna happen.' 'Ah, you always say that,' Paul said. I finally went back to sleep at 6 am. I had dreams of falling down elevators that had broken and I could smell smoke. I woke up in a sweat––it was terrifying. When I turned on the phone at 10 am, Paul called and the rest, as they say, is history. 'You were right. You were tuned into something,' Paul said."
