There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy. Shakespeare, Hamlet, act 1, scene 5
When William Shakespeare wrote those intriguing words, he probably had no idea that modern humans would try to prove them. Interest in the supernatural and paranormal has rushed into popularity since the turn of the 20th century like ants to a kitchen full of honey. Anything that hints at what could be "behind the veil," or is at all connected with the power of the mind is gobbled up with relish even by the most conservative individuals. Granted it may be gobbled up in order to condemn, but there is no denying how powerful a force the supernatural and paranormal, collectively called "metaphysics," has become.
Countless books, articles, and lectures have given theories about the mysterious lost continent of Atlantis. It seems that in “New Age” literature everything originated in Atlantis. Where does this come from? The source of the Atlantis story goes back centuries to a handful of pages in “Plato’s Dialogues.” Plato, who was born somewhere around 423 BCE, was a Greek philosopher, poet, and mathematician. He wrote a story called “Critias,” where he describes the Island of Atlantis.
In the story, Critias is talking with Socrates, Timaeus, and Hermocrates. He tells them a story, told to him by his grandfather, also named Critias, who heard the story from his grandfather, Dropides (young Critias' great grandfather) who heard the story from his friend and distant cousin, Solon. Solon heard the story from an Egyptian priest while he was traveling through Egypt. The Egyptian priest heard the story from another priest who said that it had been passed down through 9,000 years of previous priests who had been told by survivors of the great deluge.

The Astrology of December 21, 2012
According to a lot of people, December, 2012 will bring either great disaster, or great awakening. What's the astrology about all of this?
Astrology is about cycles. All of the 2012 configurations, began with the harmonic convergence in the 1980s and was stepped up in 2011 when a series of hard aspects between Uranus and Pluto began. There were Grand Crosses with planets in Cardinal signs (These are Aries, Cancer, Libra, Virgo).
Uranus - the planet of independence and unexpected change had a hand in the "Arab Spring." Then there was the "Occupy movement" spurred on by the interactions of Uranus with Pluto. Pluto has a hand in shifting old energy that needs changing. He is not subtle. He is an atom bomb.
What's different with this cycle of Pluto and Uranus?
In 2012, the galactic equator stands at 0 degrees Capricorn. This is where the Sun will be at the Winter solstice - Dec. 21.
At 11:12 GMT on December 21, the Sun will contact what is called the "Dark Rift" located near the center of the galaxy. This is referred to by the Mayans as the "Cosmic Womb," a place of great transformation, death, birth, and awakening from darkness.
With this alignment, plus Pluto in Capricorn, old structures that have been stable for a long time in society are crumbling and need to be renovated.
The players for this time of year are Uranus, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, plus minor support figures of Mars, Mercury, and Venus.
Anita Burns --
Throughout my life, there have been numerous times when the metaphysical community has become enthusiastic, excited, or anxious about a prophecy that was supposed to bring great awakening or great disaster to the Earth. Without exception, the result has proven to be less than anticipated.
I have learned to take a wait-and-see stance to all the predictions of global disaster, ET invasions, the coming of Christ, the awakening of super spirituality, and the beginning of the Aquarian Age, etc. As an astrologer, I check the “stars” with each prediction and usually the hype is exaggerated or even completely off-base, perhaps because of miscalculations or lack of deeper knowledge of esoteric astrology.
I also check with living saints and sages of the world to find out what they have to say in the matter. Usually there is either no mention of the event or that it is greatly exaggerated.
However, in 2007 the transit of Venus between the Sun and the Earth was talked about in the circles of scientists as well as saints and sages.
Mary...Lady of light, Lady of mercy, Lady of protection and nurturing...
“Hail Mary Full of Grace, blessed is the fruit of thy womb - Jesus the Christ. Lady of the sea, lady of the sky, Lady of the moon—Mother Mary, the Blessed Virgin.....”
For around 2000 years, Mary has been worshipped and esteemed as the eternal Mother—pure, spotless, perfect, untouched by man. Meditation on her elicits in many people, profound feelings of peace, gentleness, loving forgiveness, protection, nurturing. Visionaries report that when she manifests her presence, the fragrance of roses fills the air.
