Wow! A whole month has passed since assuming the editor's role for The Messenger. We have made a lot of changes but hopefully kept to the spirit that Joann so lovingly crafted over the last 14 years.
Take a look at the new articles we have added. Some are from familiar writers. Others are from writers never published here before. I think they are thoughtful and inspiring.
So what do I want to say to you this month? Well, Duh! I want to talk about how excited I am about The Messenger. We are diving into the deep end of the pool and having a great time. Canon ball or belly flop we are giving it our all!

birth is such a miraculous thing…
the newness, the pureness, the endless possibilities…
but rebirth, well that is something altogether extraordinary.
with rebirth comes a knowing…
you remember where you have been…
As I look out at you,
I am really looking in at my belief about you.
Maybe you don't exist at all in the way I think.
I've been fooled before by my fickle brain,
So hoping for a perfect match to my hallucination of life.
Only time will tell as you teach my brain to color you in different ways,
Ways that you decide.
So here i was laying in bed at 2am
Thinking all these beautiful and wonderful and craZY thoughts.
And I was confronted with the choice of trying to fall asleep
Or getting up like a stark raving lunatic
And firing up the old lap top and capturing them.
As you can see i did the later.

I call and you're not there.
The silence reverberates on my heart.
Where once you were,
only, the emptiness is here.
T’was the Night Before Christmas. . .
And all through the garage,
Not a creature was stirring,
Not even the Dodge.
