tracy-letz-sacred-space-1Inner Christmas, a practice of inner renewal and development, begins on December 25 and unfolds nightly through January 6, the day of Epiphany. These are the 12 Holy Nights, a yearly time when our souls experience a unique connection with spiritual forces, the veils between heaven and earth lift and powerful inner insight and growth are possible.”  ~ Lynn Jericho Inner Christmas

This is the perfect time of year (in the Yuletide prior to Epiphany on January 6th) to create sacred space to connect with that ‘inner still small voice’.

What is ‘Sacred Space'?
Sacred space can be as small as a deep cleansing breath you take in to clear your self or to prepare for meditation; or it can be a small physical space such as a window sill, an altar, or a larger space in a room in a home; or it may be larger still such as a garden or a cathedral or an ancient megalithic site. The primary importance is the intention of setting the space for sacred use or sacred connection to Nature, the ‘Divine’ or “All that is” in order to experience “I Am that I Am”.

THE PAIN OF WHY

Why don’t my children listen to me?

Why don’t people return my phone calls?

Why did it have to rain on my wedding day?

Why are my coworkers so lazy?

Why can’t smokers show more willpower?

Why do people text and drive?

Why do people cheat on their spouses?

Why are people so environmentally unconscious?

Why can't politicians tell the truth?

Excerpted from the newly released "Practical Conscious Creation: Daily Techniques to Manifest Your Desires" (Findhorn Press, Fall 2011)

When most people think of fear, they conjure pictures of screaming women in slasher movies, horrible mindless villains, or heroes chased by zombies. But, for most of us, fear feels more like an insidious virus that our minds and emotions create to stop us from moving forward.

Fear is the mind/ego's way of saying "I'm not going there! I like being right where I am. I'm familiar with my current state. If I plunk myself right down here, nothing can hurt me because I already know this territory. I'm not worthy and if I stretch myself, I might get rejected."

Publisher's Description: From setting appropriate goals for each type of fitness to learning how to feed both body and soul, this ground-breaking guide goes beyond the typical health mantras—eat right, exercise regularly, reduce stress—and explores the emotional and physical obstacles to corporeal and spiritual fitness. Based on the immensely successful training of a six-time Ironman triathlete by a renowned Huichol Indian healer, this handbook seeks to remedy the conspicuous absence of spirituality in typical Western exercise regimens by explaining how to incorporate the divine into everyday exercises and why the two issues are inexorably linked.

Jade A. Lauryne--

My son and I were talking the other evening and we touched upon an issue that I had not thought about in quite some time – although I am sure this age-old question still rages on. My son was speaking with me because he is suffering from a very bad case of wrong decisions.

He found himself embroiled and under the spell of a young lady that has brought him nothing but mental and emotional anguish and financial ruin - the likes of which he had never heretofore experienced. And, as with many of us; he is wondering what he has done to warrant having such an experience. His question to me was did I think his meeting of this young woman was fated and pre-destined and out of his hands; or, was he being punished for some past-life indiscretion of which he has no memory. He is in much pain and this prior relationship has paralyzed him and made him suspicious and gun shy. I fear he is walking away from a potentially sane and beneficial relationship for fear that the new young lady is putting up a false face and will show her true colors when it is too late. I feel his pain.

I came to the conclusion years ago that if I were going to accept that I had been endowed by my Creative Intelligence with divine free-will; then my life could not be pre-destined or pre-ordained or fated. I think many of us suffer from the consequences of not paying conscious attention to our mental, emotional, spiritual and manifest surroundings. So many of us are sleepwalking through life and simply do not pay attention until we are drowning in some quagmire of issues and circumstances that we alone have created.
