Publisher's Description:
This book is for both practitioners and lay people, alike. That is anyone who currently occupies a body and wants to be healthy and whole. The time has come to create a new philosophy that focuses on a more holistic approach to healthcare—one that is built on the concept that the body-mind-spirit is one thing—fully connected. We must shift our from treatment to prevention in a way that puts all of us back in the driver’s seat of our own health and well-being.
This shift will only happen when we clearly understand how to use our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs as tools to help create health and wellness. All 60,000 thoughts we have in a day create something…either moving us towards health and wholeness, or not. We must broaden the scope of Western medicine to incorporate this concept into how we provide and participate in healthcare. Until we are willing to step outside the traditional medical box to understand and incorporate this phenomenon of the connection of body-mind-spirit, we are going to continue to struggle in our healthcare.

(NaturalNews) Kombucha tea is becoming all the rage in popular culture today, with entire refrigerator cases at health food stores now exclusively stocking the stuff, and celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, and Orlando Bloom regularly drinking it for increased longevity and improved health. But with its growing popularity has come a whole lot of scaremongering by the disease industry over its supposed dangers, which begs the question -- is kombucha tea a potentially-dangerous fad, or is it truly the health-promoting wonder elixir that many people claim it is?
First of all, kombucha tea has been around for thousands of years, and has long been used by traditional cultures to improve digestion, boost immunity, eliminate kidney stones, reduce high blood pressure, and create sustained and lasting energy.
I usually write about my whacky life and this is probably a detour from that, but not completely. Although I have lived the life unusual, it has not been without come-uppance karma. My childhood of the five food groups—sugary, salty, crunchy, greasy, and gooey, plus my early adult life of partying, drinking, smoking, and, well other stuff, left its toll. One of them was something that seems to be catching up to a lot of us—Gluten allergy and intolerance.
According to people who track this sort of thing, Gluten intolerance is rampant. Just take a look at Amazon's offering for cookbooks and you'll see a lot of gluten free titles. Search "Gluten free" on Amazon and you come up with thousands of titles.
I've read that many people don't even know what's wrong with them, they just feel aweful, have rashes, migraines, digestive problems, joint pain, weakness, depression, and a host of other symptoms. The lucky ones figure out that they have a problem with gluten or wheat—no drugs or surgery required.
You Don't Choose a Life, You Live One.

Reflections on Writing

My dear friend Molly just published her delightful book, Margo. It was a long haul for her. She is in her 70's with a youthful mind that just won't give in to senior-hood. I love her dearly. Although not the normal fare for The Messenger, I reviewed it here. How could I not?
That started me thinking about writing and books, and "stuff." I read a lot of books for The Messenger and review those I think are worth reading. I know, that's subjective. Like art, I know what I like. I don't have to agree with the author's point of view or philosophy, but it has to be well-written, honest, and engaging.
Patron Angel of Literature and Music
Archangel Uriel came through my consciousness. I was asked for help in a life purpose career transition for my friend Oliver. At the time,
Oliver was in his early forties; his profession was a roofer in the construction field. He had to drive long distances to construction sites. He wanted to spend more time with his family. His body was taking a toll on him. He could feel that physically, he did not have the strength that he had when he was in his twenties. He told me that he had talents and abilities that were not being utilized. I called upon Archangel Uriel for guidance. Archangel Uriel is known for solutions to difficulties. He gave me an epiphany, a light bulb came on and I felt elated that I could offer Oliver great insight. I told Oliver that he must open up his own handyman business and that he would be terrific at it. He thought that would be a great idea, but how would he get his customers. I asked Archangel
There are so many things in this life that need to be taught and as a human being or a child or even as an adult or as a parent, how do you find your core sense of self? How is it that you are happy with yourself no matter what is going on around you? so in other words, how do you practice the art of staying centered amidst all the distraction? How do you find your center amidst all the distractions that life has to offer you?
