This statement creates two curiosities for most of us. First, why do we often not feel loving or loved if we are enveloped in love’s healing wings? And second, how can love be a strength? Societally, we view "love" as gentle or tender, implying a softness, even weakness, but certainly not powerful.

A Course in Miracles asserts that confusion comes from thinking love comes from ourselves, and we don’t even know the meaning of love! In the text, page 226, it states: You "are poor learners [of what love is]. You have learning handicaps in a very literal sense." Further, "you are so impaired that you can progress only under constant, clear-cut direction."

The Course identifies this direction as the Holy Spirit, or the Voice for God. Love is of God and it is our right, as children of Divine creation, to become aware of this Love within us, moving in our very DNA. But in our humanness we have forgotten this Truth of Love within us. We even react to life in loveless ways that create grief and struggle in our experience.

Graciously, this portion of Course Text invites us to remember our purpose and our goal: To return to an awareness of the absolute Presence of Love. The writing continues on page 227 by saying "Resign now as your own teacher!…You need offer only undivided attention and everything else will be given you." If our one goal is to remember Love, if we focus our attention on the Love that is Spirit, we simply cannot fail.

The Course tells us it is indeed our inheritance to remember Love, and you cannot buy or sell your inheritance. But you must invest in it with your belief. (T225) "Your inheritance awaits only your recognition that you have been redeemed."

Love hovers over you always. In the words of Ernest Holmes, "…clear the passageway…[so] Life may flow through unobstructed." (LSOM) Pg. 429. Awaken to its presence, feel it moving through you and your experience on this road of life. Notice the gifts that stand before you. Begin to recognize at every opportunity, the harmonious workings of Spirit in your activities. It takes great strength to choose to view life through enLIGHTened eyes. But Love is your strength and your power.

Relinquish your investment in death, negativity, lovelessness "or you will not see life though it is all around you." (T225) Let Love be the power that guides you and enfolds you in Its healing wings. Feel Love blessing you now. Namaste’.
