These are stressful times, winter is on its way and many sources are expressing great concern about our ability to handle the coming flu and cold season. Throughout the press, the health buzz word these days is immune system. We are being told we have to strengthen our immune system to be able to handle potential infection and disease. Stress places an increased burden on the immune system, lowering our defensive capability. What is the immune system? Simply put, it is our bodys natural defense mechanism. It is designed to protect us from invading bacteria, viruses, toxins, parasites and other pathogens, through a complex network of cells and organs. It provides a barrier against these toxins entering our bodies and if they do, it will help eliminate them, preventing more serious problems. While we are born with this natural defense system, there are steps we can all take to strengthen our health so that we do not have to utilize the full capacity of our defense system. Think of your body as your own private island. Within your shores you have a force whose job it is to protect and defend your land. You should feel safe knowing that defense mechanism is there when you need it, but, are you? How do you care for your land so that there is minimal need for defense in the first place? Some ways to do this are to provide it with clean air and water, to nourish it with healthy nutritious food, abundant in enzymes, vitamins and minerals, and maintain an environment free of toxic pollutants, ranging from chemical to electromagnetic. Unfortunately, in these times, the air isnt clean, the water is certainly less than pure, our food is stripped of health-building nutrients, and we are exposed on a daily basis to countless environmental toxins, and high levels of electrical smog. Today our food is grown in de-natured soil treated with chemical fertilization and overly processed, so we must supplement it to make it even minimally nutritious. Enzymes are a particularly important part of that supplementation. In addition to digesting food, enzymes are necessary in every process that occurs within our body. When we eat raw, undenatured foods, the enzymes needed for digestion are provided by BOTH the food and our bodys digestive system. However, when our diet consists of cooked and processed foods (enzymes are destroyed 100% by cooking), the enzymes needed for digestion are only provided by the body, causing the enzymes needed to maintain every system and metabolic process of the body to be constantly borrowed, creating a state of enzyme debt. This condition is further worsened by the fact that the natural enzymes of the body become fewer and weaker as we age. (Scientists at the world-famous Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago found that the elderly had only 1/30 the level of enzymes in their saliva as young people.) This reduced enzyme bank leads to digestive disturbances, weakened immunity, cellular exhaustion and premature aging. The only way to balance the deficit in your enzyme account is to make deposits with supplemental external enzymes. Now, let us say there has been a sudden attack against your island by an outside enemy. Efforts must be made to protect and defend against this attack and your immune system stands ready to defend its land. What if a friendly ally showed up to help, to share the burden of this defense? A very powerful ally in the war against invasion is Colloidal Silver. Having colloidal silver in your body is like an additional first-line defense, protecting your borders so that the troops of your immune system have less, if any, fighting to do. By seeking out and destroying invading pathogens before they gain a foot-hold in the body, your immune system is relieved of a substantial burden. In addition, silver ions circulate throughout the bodily fluids like covert agents ready to neutralize any invaders that may be hidden away.
