Two days after the shock, my morning yoga class students were very open and receptive to a visualization that had them first fill themselves with positive attributes, until they felt full to overflowing. Then, with arms outstretched encircling our beloved planet Earth, they envisioned showering these powerful intentions to touch every human being to their core. We sat in stillness focusing as each attribute of unconditional love, compassion, healing, wisdom and harmony sunk in deeper and opened hearts to higher vibration in every country around the entire world.

When the visualization was complete and we opened our eyes, we saw about 50 birds that had landed and encircled our group. They were birds that didn't often hang out together, all mixed in, walking and pecking at the grass––there were crows, and brown birds, blue jays and mocking birds.

From the large majestic pine tree overhead, came four baby squirrels down the trunk. They were no larger than small chipmunks. It must have been their first day out of the nest. They had no fear of us at all and allowed us to pet them, pick them up and they scampered on their own up our legs and sat on our shoulders.

Needless to say, there was not a dry eye as we played with these beautiful little creatures for a whole hour. We felt so blessed as if each of us had become St. Francis of Assisi, with the power to have the lion and the lamb come together in the Peace that Passes All Understanding.

At one point, two young mothers came near with babies and toddlers. Two of the baby squirrels saw the children and scampered to get near them. As the mothers and strollers left, the baby squirrels decided to follow them. One of my students noticed the squirrels were missing and went half way around the block and found them following the children. She promptly picked them up, one in each hand and brought them back to the tree.

As my beginning tai chi students began to show up, we guided the squirrels back to their tree. We did the entire tai chi class facing the tree watching them frolic with each other in the tree.

I felt like Mother Earth herself had come to bless us and thank us for the visualization. Her message was loud and clear: that our time spent and our intentions were making a difference.

That night in my meditation, my inner guidance suggested that I tape record the six different visualizations and to make them available to people who wished to do healing work. The tapes were to be free and I was not to be concerned with the cost. The project was to reach every state. Each person was to make a copy of the tape and then pass the original to a like-minded friend. The guidance said to just start in my living room with my portable recorder in hand and record the visualization live at my mediation classes. It said that in time, someone with more professional equipment would come forth to make better and better originals. What was important was to begin and allow the rest to flow. The name of the project that came forth was "Healing America One Heart at a Time." There will be three audiocassettes: 1) Healing the people in the planes and Healing the people in the buildings, 2) Healing the people and families who lost a loved one and A visualization to surround the earth and all of humanity with positive attributes and finally, 3) Healing the terrorists and Healing our government and politicians.
