Safety: Due to high content of citnol, needs to be diluted in a carrier oil, before applying to skin, or may cause irritation. Stay out of sunlight if being applied to skin.
Properties: Antiseptic, Astringent, Bac-teriacide, Insecticide, Laxative, Tonic, Antirheumatic, Antiacid, Anti-neuralgic, Antidepressent, Stimulant, Diuretic.
Skin: Astringent, removes dead skin cells, softens scars, good for cellulite, smoothes broken capillaries, cleansing action on greasy skin and hair. Strengthens nails, can be used for warts and corns.
Mind: Cooling, refreshing, cleansing, and clearing to the mind, bringing clarity.
Body: Decongestant action to the kidneys and liver, tonic to the circulatory system, eases varicose veins by liquefying the blood and lowers blood pressure. Effective heart tonic. Good for diabetes, anemia, the immune system, reduces fevers, relieves sore throats, coughs, cold sores, flu, headaches, migraines, neuralgic pain, fevers, herpes, bites, digestive system, counteracts acidity, helps pancreatic secretions.
Spirit: Uplifting, clarifying, focusing, centering, deepens meditations and prayer, spiritually cleansing and con-necting. Encourages awareness.
Recipes for Spring Cleaning:
Add 10-15 drops of essential oil of Lemon to a spray bottle filled with water. Shake and spray on windows, tile, in the kitchen, and the bath, to disinfect and clear the air. It also has a cleansing affect on the energy in the room. Great for cleansing hard to get rid of odors.
AND try adding a few drops on the inside of the cardboard toilet paper roll. The cardboard absorbs the oils and then releases cleansing aroma molecules into the bathroom environment.
Recipes for Your Body:
Anti-cellulite bath: 2 handfuls of Epsom salts, 1 handful of Baking Soda, 3 drops Lemon Essential Oil and 3 drops Oregano Essential Oil.
Stress & Burn-out Relaxation Massage Oil:
5 drops Lemon, 4 drops Sandalwood, and 2 drops Palmarosa mix into 2 oz of Almond oil and apply with massage.
