Just as adults, children have their own unique dream experiences. Although some dreams which can be frightening for young ones, there are many other dreams which are joyful, and which contain inspirational messages. Following is an enchanting dream, which unfolds into a sweet tale of visitation by three heavenly beings.

My precious six-year-old niece, Kiarra, shared with me a special dream. In this dream, she saw three angels flying overhead who spoke to her by saying “Hello.” Kiarra felt comfortable with her visitors, and greeted them in return. When asked what the angels looked like, Kiarra described three beautiful female angels with round faces. Notably, all three had bright blue wings. The angels were hungry, and asked Kiarra to help them find food.

Kiarra led her angels to an apple tree by using pink paint to create a path. The angels were able to follow her pink path, and find the apple tree. Each angel picked one red apple from the tree and began to eat it. The angels then became thirsty, so Kiarra painted another pink path which directed her angelic visitors to a pineapple on the ground. The angels put three separate straws into the same pineapple, where they sipped and shared the sweet juice. The angels spoke again, thanking Kiarra for leading them to the pineapple.
She believes the angels came from outer space, and that they visited her because there was no other place for them to get anything to eat or drink; they had to come to earth. After their nourishment, the angels guided Kiarra home by flying over her while she walked on the pink path beneath them. Kiarra watched as the angels became sleepy. They then flew to three different clouds. As the angels drifted gently off to sleep, Kiarra woke up from her dream.

To Kiarra, the dream meant the angels came from a far away place to visit her. This made her feel happy and special. Even within this simple dream, there were symbolic meanings for my sweet niece. Kiarra’s angels chose to make their presence known at this point for an important reason: so she would learn there are heavenly beings who watch over her and are her special companions in life. I explained to her that these were her guardian angels, and had come to visit so she would know them. She understood that even though she cannot see her angels most of the time, they are right there with her, and will protect and guide her as she grows.

The fact that the path Kiarra painted was in the color pink symbolizes the bond of love, which exists between Kiarra and her angels. It is interesting that the angels all had blue wings, in that the color blue is commonly associated with the throat chakra and represents clarity in communication. Indeed, Kiarra’s angels were communicating their devotion and friendship in a manner, which a 6 year old would understand. The trust Kiarra and her angels shared was demonstrated by Kiarra leading the heavenly beings to the nourishment they desired, and they in turn guided her safely back home. Contained within this dream of a child is a compelling example of how we humans not only receive guidance from the heavenly realm, we also assist the angels and other spiritual beings with their own missions.

Just as with adults, children receive certain dreams for specific reasons. The next time any little loved one shares one of their dreams with you, perhaps you will listen with expanded awareness as to the significance of the experience. Try not to discount the dream as simply childish fantasy or random nightmare, but delve a bit deeper and assist that young person in learning some of the lessons being delivered from the spiritual realm. You may find yourself not only helping the child along their journey, but may discover some interesting messages, which apply to your own life.
