Dear Louise,
I have a question for you. Im a master self-saboteur that is, I create circumstances that hurt me. Will you please give me an affirmation that would help me counter this life-destroying habit/practice?
S.T., Los Angeles, CA
Dear S.T.,
Turn that creative energy around and stop using that label of self-saboteur. Decide that you no longer need negative drama in your life. Youre rightits only a habit, and a habit is something you repeat. Theres no need to punish yourself any longer. I, Louise Hay, now give you permission to start a new habit!
Affirm: I deserve to live a good life. I now choose to allow the Universe to love and support me at every turn. I am a precious, deserving being. I allow Life to love me and cherish me. All is well. Life is good!
If you do this for one month, nonstop, your entire life will change. Blessings.
Dear Louise,
Im sensitive to the energy of others. When I walk into a room, for instance, I pick up so strongly on the energy, that it is sometimes overwhelming. This is a problem for me at work since Im a nurse. What can I do to avert this? N.N., Monticello, Indiana
Dear N.N.,
You sound like you are taking on other peoples problems. Unfortunately, in your profession you see mostly sick people and their accompanying atmosphere. Taking on their issues isnt helpful to either one of you. Always remember youre in a terrific position to know and affirm the truth for these people. Train yourself to look beyond their physical issues, and know that those are only temporary. Refuse to get involved with their negative mental thinking. Say to yourself: Its your choice to think that way, but its not my choice. I choose to see and feel and hear only the good in life. Just because someone is arguing in a room, it doesnt mean that you have to join in. This is the same thing.
Let your thoughts go in the following direction, and youll be a blessing to all. Affirm: MY ENERGY IS THAT OF A HEALER. MY THOUGHTS BRING HEALING ENERGY TO EVERYONE I COME IN CONTACT WITH. I AM SURROUNDED BY PEACE.
Dear Louise,
I overheard my mother (who is 79) talking on the phone to a friend, and she said that her heart is deformed in that its twisted. She lost her husband to a heart attack, and my brother died a few years ago. How can I help my mother?
