Shamanism sees all life as being connected. There are no random events, there are no accidents. Every experience in the course of a day has significance. How you focus your energy when you awaken not only produces an expectation in the mind and emotions, but energetically influences the people whom you encounter. Paying attention to our intuition can help us to meet our challenges with insight and wisdom. When dealing with specific illnesses, a Shaman will accompany her client into their underworld or what we in the West would call the subconscious. Here she would help track the origins of the illness, uncovering the events and feelings that accompanied the onset of the disease. The Shaman supports the client in taking back their power by standing up to perpetrators, protecting their inner children and taking them to safety. The Shaman will help the client to cut cords of connection to events and individuals which perpetrate a feeling of helplessness and victimization. Removing these obstacles to healing prepares the body to be helped by alternative and conventional medicine. Some of the methods employed to shift the energy around the physical manifestation of an illness include: cleansing with special stones, blowing a special water on the area, hands on healing, and/or extraction of energetic intrusions. Ceremonies are also an important part of all healing. They provide an opportunity for each of us to connect with Spirit, opening us to that great loving presence. It also provides the opportunity to return our love and gratefulness for the healing we are receiving. In the Inka tradition this is called Ayni which means reciprocity. Healing the Light Body means shifting our perceptions and this is accomplished through disconnecting from the old stories which keep us tied to pain, hurt, and shame and by shifting our Assemblage Pointour connection to this reality. Shamanic IntensiveThis intensive will combine all three of the wkshops we have offered in the past, including new material recently brought to us from our Peruvian teachers. Cost for the three days is $195 if paid by March 7th The School for the Shamanic Arts has developed a program to help individual learn these techniques for themselves, their loved ones, and the community they serve.
