Over the last 4 years I have written many articles for The Messenger, articles sharing ways to keep fit and healthy through nutrition, attitude and exercise. This month I am writing about something a little different. I recently had the opportunity to interview Victoria Jennings, author of God As Mother: A True Story of the Search for Mystic Christianity & Origins of the Soul. This book looks at the areas of Soul and Spirit from a very untraditional viewpoint and I found her words about Body, Mind, Spirit and Soul very interesting. I began with one simple question.

Cathy: In metaphysics we see and hear the term Body, Mind, Spirit. What does thatt mean?

Victoria: The irony of this question is that we are not Body centered, we are not Mind centered, and we are not Spirit centered, we are Soul centered humanity. So when you ask what that means to me, I say the Body, Mind and Spirit cannot exist without the Soul.

When I look at the Body, I see the vehicle that carries our multi-dimensional form. Form cannot evolve without the consciousness being within it, that is the Mind. It is our Soul that sustains this Body and Mind consciousness. So when you ask what does Mind, Body, Spirit mean, we must break it down. Each form exists on different dimensions.

You've got the Body, which is the physical three-dimensional form that moves through the four-dimensions. This physical form evolves to sustain the varying degrees of consciousness. The higher the intelligence, the more evolved the physical form.

The Mind is an etheric substance which carries the intelligence or creative consciousness within this Body, the physical form. The Mind is like a mirror reflecting our world, and during times of suffering, it is this etheric substance that heats up to purify our Mind and Body so these life experiences may be absorbed into the building of the Soul.

The Spirit is the Spiritself, which is the ego or the personality belonging to that Body and Mind. The Spirit is four dimensional and chooses the Body and Mind that will best suit its' evolution from being a self-centered state to becoming a Selfless state of the Soul. The Soul is the five-dimensional life sustaining essence of our being. The Soul is purely a "Self-Less" state of love awareness. The Soul sustains and contains the Body, Mind and Spirit until they become purified. Once the three, that is the Body, Mind and Spirit become purified, and return to the Soul, the Soul becomes whole and returns to the One.

My work is helping people become aware of the Soul. And not only becoming aware that it exists, but understanding what part the Soul plays in the scheme of all things. That Soul is God. That Soul is Oneness, and we are but a fraction of that Oneness.

Cathy: I thought the Holy Spirit was what gave life to our Body, Mind and Soul. If the Spirit is four-dimensional and the Soul is five-dimensional, how many more dimensions to God? When we are purified we return to the Soul? Where is that Soul and what happens to the Soul?
