By now, much has been written and discussed regarding trauma in the wake of the September 2001 tragedies. Our hearts and prayers continue to go out to those caught up in the whirlwind of disasters and earth changes. We are aware of the impact such events have on our psyche. But how does this manifest in our energy body? Our aura, or energy field, as well as the bioenergy mechanics of our bodies are greatly affected.

Trauma can take many forms. Anyone who has been fired from a job, been unjustly criticized, victimized by a crime, or endured emotional, physical or mental abuse has experienced trauma, whether directly or indirectly. This also includes stress patterns of everyday life. Our life-force molds or creates a pattern of effect that represents the traumatic experience. This is known to some as the beginnings of a karmic pattern. From here the individual develops a belief system or mindset, consisting of pain, fear and anger reactions. Consequently, a shift in behavior occurs and the karma becomes more established. We can interrupt and dismantle the karmic complexity by dealing with the trauma as well as all things connected to it by releasing the energies that hold things in place and sustains them.

In terms of our energy body, first on the list are our chakras, or energy vortexes located within our etheric body. There are seven major chakras, although I like to address and clear the minor ones as well as the new chakras human beings are developing. While each chakra corresponds to its own issues and areas of the physical body, trauma can be held in each one. However, this kind of energy seems to manifest mostly in the lower three chakras. This energy includes past lives, present life childhood and developing years, plus whatever we are currently experiencing that is a shock to our system. These frequencies register as pictures, like snapshots of the experience. Visualize these images ejecting out of the chakras like a Roman candle, or like a blast of water from a hose. It is not necessary to see or get a sense of each image, just trust that the correct energy is departing. At the same time breathe it out, with each breath coming up as a sigh. This helps move the energy along, especially if you are not visual. Simply intend to release the energy. Of course, it is a good idea to do some kind of chakra clearing and alignment at least once a week and whenever you do emotional release work. Always remember to replace negative energy with positive energy, for there are no vacuums in nature. This maintenance will go far in creating balance and good health. It is a well established fact that negative emotions and patterns are important factors in the creation of illness. This technique assists our entire Self in returning to wellness and becoming whole. Intention, patience and discipline combine to create perfect heath.

In the case of a traumatic injury or sexual/physical abuse, psychic pain and the memory of pain must be released from the area. The energy of the injury, illness or abuse creates an imprint and holds the memory or energy package (a set of frequencies). The lower the frequency, the weaker the aura is in that part of the body. Grey or dark energy sets in and the weakness can cause the aura to open. A weak or open field needs to be strengthened and closed as soon as possible, as other corrupting and discordant energies can enter. Consequently, our thinking, behavior and health can be influenced.

These are some of the steps of a more complete system. There are other physical and nonphysical bodies that need attention. This is a restructuring or resolution of an individual's karma. In the meantime, keep in mind that we do not have to live in fear or trauma. Peace and joy are our birthright, and we can learn the skills and modalities that will lead us to self-empowerment, balance, faith and enlightenment.
