The wind doesn’t move, the flag doesn’t move; the mind moves. Paul Rep Spiritual Work: Israel Regardie, an adept of the Golden Dawn, recommended working with a therapist when doing intense spiritual work. The aim of the Golden Dawn’s ritual and practice is to help members reach knowledge of, and conversation with, their Holy Guardian Angel (Higher Self). Such inner work in any tradition can uncover issues that have been buried for years. Therapy is as valid a tool for spiritual transformation as other modalities. Some people use metaphysics, religion, and spirituality as ways to repress the problems that beset them, because they lack specific tools for the ego’s processes. Although NLP was not developed as a spiritual model, it has significant consequences and benefits for anyone on the spiritual path, and can transform your experience of self and the ego, and provide a way to honor all that you are. Whatever the “I am-ness” we project onto the world, or struggle with in terms of demons and emotions, our ego exists to enable us to navigate the here and now, so that, as Buddha suggested, we might wake up. The knot of the ego can be untangled, and become your greatest source of strength and clarity in the process of awakening. Jesus taught the Kingdom of Heaven is within us. But the “way in” frightens us sometimes, because of what we fear is there, out of ignorance of the process, and the hypnotic judgments we have accepted from others. Sometimes the way in seems like having to stare into the depths of Hell, and so we run away. Naturally. The meaning of repentance, however, is “to turn around.” All traditions direct us to turn inwardly, to meditate on the Light that eventually we will find there. To enter the Kingdom is to believe in the good news that the Source, the Light dwells inside us. In the brilliant symbolism of the Tarot, we realize, with adequate training and tools, that we play the role of the Fool, the Innocent, and make the journey to awareness. The Fool’s journey is the Hero’s journey. There is light at the end of the tunnel. You are that light. Now, through NLP, we have tools to understand and transform that inner place, our inner processes and experiences, and give new meaning to what we encounter there. The door to Hell and the door to the Kingdom are the same door. We just haven’t been taught how to understand and transform the inner territory, until now, through the Yoga of NLP. “To you it is given to know the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven.” “Knock and the door will be opened.” Nothing in us need die, nothing in us need be sacrificed. NLP continues to be a way to harmonize the dynamics of my inner self, to reconcile myself with my Self, to understand, bless and transform my frustrations, doubts, uncertainties, judgments, fears, and limitations in ways that are, for me, nothing less than miraculous; and, in so doing, to experience profound states of joy and awe. It is because I do the work myself, that I can walk the path with others, and that I can walk the path with you. See David’s ad for NLP on this page.
