The phenomenon of a human aura is an ancient one. This spiritual sphere of radiating energy surrounding the body can be found in many sacred images from early times in Egypt, India, Greece, Rome and Christian art. There are a number of different colors that radiate from everyone's aura depending upon how they feel.
With modern technology we can project an image of our aura onto film or a computer screen for review. Much can be learned from reviewing your own aura. The chakras control, energize, and are responsible for the proper functioning of the whole physical body and its different parts and organs. I call them the major emotional energy votexes. Many ailments are caused partially by malfunctioning of the chakras, this can be seen when reviewing the aura.
To give you a very brief idea of the colors that radiate from the aura, and what they represent, I will walk you through the seven major chakras, their colors, and what each means. The Root chakra is located at the base of the spine and is represented by the color red. This anchors the energy of grounding and stability. The Sacral chakra is located at the belly and is represented by the color orange, it is the center of creativity and pleasure. The Solar Plexus chakra is represented by the color yellow, it is the center of attraction in life experiences reflecting our own inner light. It functions best when filled with happiness. Often the Solar Plexus chakra is where we feel stress, and worry. The Heart chakra is represented by green, and is the center of love and compassion. The Throat chakra is represented by blue, and is the center where opinions and thoughts find voice. The Brow chakra is represented by violet and is the center for intuition and inner harmony. The Crown chakra is represented by white and is the center for divine guidance and protection. There are other colors and deeper meanings for each chakra, but as I mentioned this is a brief overview.
How you feel emotionally does affect you and can be seen in your aura. To give you a personal example; I was recently feeling out of sorts, somewhat disconnected from my divine spiritual guidance. During this time I was given a chance to view my aura. I didn't want to look, because I knew it was red, or yellow indicating basic survival and the stress feelings that I was experiencing. Sure enough, there I was, as big as life on the computer screen all red, orange, and yellow. My Solar Plexus looked like it was working overtime. I then closed my eyes and focused my thoughts on being peaceful and calm while saying, "All is well." Within two to three minutes of continuing this process my aura field returned to green and blue. I then said the Lord's Prayer and continued feeling peaceful and calm. Within a moment or two of doing this, my field went violet and white. I stayed in this peaceful frame of mind and so did my aura field. My thoughts and words had helped shift my emotional chakra energy vortexes to a healthy, happy, connected place.
In the meditation classes I teach I always say, "Choose your thoughts and words carefully from a place of love." It has become even clearer to me now, through my own personal experiences how important it is for us to keep our thoughts and words positive. This can be achieved internally through your own mind. If you are having a difficult time and need assistance shifting to a more positive place, please do not hesitate to seek out positive people, events, audio tapes, healers or counselors to help shift you to a positive place. It is worth the effort and can lead to positive life changes.
