Building on the principles of the book, Vision of the Grail. At a personal level, when we look at our lives through historical context, we make assumptions and decisions based on what happened to us in the past. We employ hindsight that often contains fear of repeating a mistake in our present circumstances. We may impose our past disappointments on current relationships, jobs, or way of life. We make assumptions about people, situations, opportunities or lack thereof based on what went before. When we walk forward looking backwards we are unable to see the wonderful possibility that is just ahead. Attachment to historical memory can blind us to our good. Giving up our attachment to history does not mean losing sight of lessons learned in the past. It means we trust that what we need to carry forward through historical context related to growth and development has merged within us. We do not have to resurrect details, wounds, or emotions. In giving up attachment, we are literally demonstrating our trust in higher power and in a compassionate universe that will assist us through life. As we break through the barrier of need to control, and ally ourselves with the force of light, we will be given what is needed to elevate us to a higher octave. Out of a limiting reality, we engage fully with the Grail journey. Provisions are here for us, and are recognized once we have made the necessary perceptual shifts. Embarking on a new year, we give up our attachment to the old. Each day is a new opportunity, and we participate in it fully. We know our direction. We have our focus. Let the adventure unfold! ©2001 Kathleen Jacoby PO Box 152, Belmont, CA 94002-0152 Also see Kathleens Numerology Column Our task in the Grail journey is to identify the elements that keep us separate, and having found them, to journey inward toward the unifying consciousness from which we all originally come and to which we will all eventually return. Our goal is to find and live in this state of union consciously, and that is why we are embarked on the quest for the Grail.
