"Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things only hoped for" ––Epicurus

If “goal setting” worked, there'd be far more happy, thin, rich people with great abs!

So if goal-setting and resolutions are "essentially" (notice I say essentially) useless, then what really does work in helping you get what you want in life?

Charting your course with the right kind of Vision––one that looks all the way to the horizon and beyond. One that's not limited by left brained thinking or influenced by unconscious habits or familiar pattern.

I call it Dream-setting. In other words, one that doesn't have limits built in by the left-brain which most goal-setting programs espouse.

The real issue is we're way too driven, too skewed in one direction. We've lost the essence of why we're here and forgotten that what makes us happy is when we're truly connected with who we are.

In Chinese energy terms it's called Yin and Yang. Yin is lighter, "female", creative energy - an energy of acceptance. "Yang" means aggressive, striving, excess, "work harder" energy.

Yes, we need both, but our world is over focused on "Yang" energy, over-striving, over-achieving, getting there fast, getting more done, and what we're aching to feel can't be strived for. Why? Because the harder you strive, the more the very thing you're striving for eludes you.

So, instead of creating 10 more goals to "cover up" the pain we feel inside, (whether we're conscious that it's pain or not) all we really need to do is ask the pain: "What are you trying to teach me?" and really listen for the answer––instead of seeking some expert who pretends that they know what's best for you.

Imagine if more people chose to really deal with their internal anxieties, fears or lack of harmony. Imagine people learning from their pain or suffering. How different this world would be if all of us took that kind of responsibility towards our own lives first––rather than trying to "fix the world."

So what can you do today to really bring more joy, passion and fulfillment into your life and allow the REAL You to shine?

First, begin by finding 10 minutes a day to quiet your mind and get in touch with how you're feeling. Thinking is decidedly "Yang" and we've become way too dependent upon it. It's now time in our evolution to begin to f-e-e-l our feelings again and release the "stuck" energy that our feelings have been trying for years to tell us about. For more on this subject see the book called "Feelings Buried Alive Never Die" by Karol Truman.

Second, ask yourself: "As I breathe deeply...What brings me joy - inside me?"
And b r e a t h e into that question...
b - r - e - a - t - h - e
and just allow the answer to come to you...

Third, allow your feelings to speak to you––learn to listen and trust how you're feeling. Your feelings are your guide. If you don't pay attention to them, you'll experience tension, anxiety, and shallow breathing and if left unchecked, physical and mental dis-ease. (This is not a guess, this is now proven––look into some of Dr. Christine Northrup's work.)

Honor and trust your feelings - your feelings are at the core of who you are! Your feelings are your inner guidance system.

So today, breathe and allow your Life's Dreams to unfold...as you do, you will create a life that once seemed unimaginable for you, your loved ones and this beautiful place we call Earth...

Now go forth and DARE to LIVE Your Life's
Dreams my friend...and remember to f-e-e-l...
and so it is....
