Today, more than ever, we must choose to come into our power. We must choose, because recent world events have tempted us to feel powerless and essentially out of control in our every day lives. But more important, if we fail to choose, we are left with what we create from the level of our own thought. Lately, fear has taken hold of the minds of many.

Our challenge then, appears to be in finding ways to stay out of fear and return to love. The obstacles blocking our awareness to the presence of Love seem a bit ominous this day. Yet, A Course in Miracles reminds us "Only Love is real". What can we do today to remember Love?

Joel Goldsmith offers illuminating advice. In his book, Practicing the Presence, he writes, "God is revealed only in proportion, as God is expressed. God is experienced in proportion, as God is permitted to flow out from us in the form of love, truth, service and dedication. The power of love must be released from within ourselves." (page 130-1)

Goldsmith is telling us we must activate this power from within us. We must allow Spirit to flow out from us by celebrating our very truth. Every time we choose to surrender our fear, even if only for a moment, we have dedicated ourselves to uniting with the Presence of God. And, our experience is proportional to our level of awareness of God flowing through our entire life. As much as we can express Spirit in the form of love, truth, service and dedication, is as much as we can reveal God, Itself, in our experience. But we must be willing to release this power of Love from within ourselves. It becomes a matter of willingness and choice.

Ernest Holmes suggests that this is what the Christ Nature is - that mind "which was also present in Christ Jesus." He states that we each partake of this Nature to the degree that it is revealed through us. He continues, "We should turn to that living presence within,...recognize It as the One and Only Power in the Universe, unify with It; declare our word to be the presence, power and activity of this One." (SOM, pg. 357) This serves as a good illustration as to how we can unite with the Almighty and disband all sense of powerlessness. We must be clear and speak our truth every day. We must choose to walk through our fears knowing that the love and power of all the Universe holds us and guides us. The Source of all our strength stands not apart from us.

This thought from the Course provides further direction: "It is not necessary for you to understand this, nor should you try. For if you focus on what you cannot understand you will but emphasize your helplessness...Ask these questions instead: Do I desire a world I rule, instead of one that rules me? Do I desire a world where I am powerful, instead of powerless." (CIM T463)

We do not live a choiceless life! Every moment there is choice. Always remember it is thought that determines our reaction to life. As Holmes wrote: "A realization of the presence of God is the most powerful healing agency known to the mind of man." And a bit of healing is what our hearts long for now.

Choose to come into your power! Let us stand together and CHOOSE ONLY LOVE. The Universe can only reciprocate.
