What does the Song, "I am already there," a mop and the Holidays have in common?

I'm sure you have seen the ads on TV for that nifty mop for washing floors without a bucket of water. For over a year Del and I would periodically look for it at the store and not find it. We would stand in the cleaning aisle, stare at all the choices, but never see the one we were looking for. It was puzzling to us, because we couldn't believe the company had done such a great job of advertising, but then didn't stock the product.

Last week I asked Del to look again, when he was grocery shopping. I came home that night––and there was a box on the counter. I picked it up wondering what it was and inside was a mop all folded up. I knew immediately what we had been doing wrong.

The company advertises a mop. It doesn't show the mop all folded up in a box, so we never looked for anything other than a long mop. At the store that day, Del thought to himself, "It is already there, it just must look different than I think." With that thought, the mop box didn't just pop into view, but he began to notice things on the shelf he hadn't seen before. As he kept thinking it was already there––slowly the box came into his––view...perception.

In a sense, God has been "advertised" as Love. As we go out into the grocery store of life however, most of the time we don't really see Love, either in ourselves or in others. We don't trust that Love is the power that is guiding and operating in every person, in every moment. Our thoughts may be that Love exists, but it has not yet been stocked in the store.

But, it IS already there. If we listen we may hear Love singing to us, " I Am already there." As we shift our thoughts to a full faith that Love exists everywhere, all the time, and in all circumstances, the activity of Love will move into view. Then we can take it off the shelf and use it.

And this is where the holidays comes into the story. The Holidays are a wonderful reminder of what we could be doing every moment of every day. We could be giving thanks that Love is present. We could be giving thanks for all that we DO see and have. We could be giving thanks that there is nowhere to go, nothing to do, nothing to make happen, nothing to need––Love is already there.

This perception will shift OUR perception and that shift will illuminate the presence of whatever we need in that moment. Instead of spending our days worrying, wanting, and wishing, we could spend our days in gratitude. It is a simple action. It is one each of us can take now.

Can you imagine the difference this state of mind, continually held to, would make in the world? The peace and prosperity––the Love in a box, that is already there––would come into view.

Let's practice being grateful. Let's not wait until the Holidays. Let's not get caught up in the drama and habit of believing that Love is not on the shelf.

Let's start right now and KNOW that Love is present...always––the packaging varies, but the product is the same. Let's expect the world to shift, as we practice declaring this truth. Let's use the "mop of Love" and get busy––cleaning our thoughts and actions of anything that obscures Truth.

I am grateful for the gift of each of you as the expression of Love––already here, ––Beca.
