"Your present circumstances don't determine where you can go; they
merely determine where you start."—
Nido Qubein

What if you had a team of people who believed in you, who supported your dreams, who listened without judgment, who told you the truth with compassion, who helped you create and implement your goals and supported you in being YOU?

What kind of life would you have? Let's dare to do just that. A supportive, interactive group can help you:

• Become more assertive

• Get direct, honest feedback on how people
are reacting to you

• Become more outgoing, socially comfortable

• Understand and trust people

• Learn how to deal with anger and conflict

constructively

• Become part of a supportive community

• Raise your self-esteem

• Get in touch with your personal power

T.E.A.M. = Together Everyone Achieves More.

A simple definition of a team is when two or more are gathered with a common intention/goal.

Bringing forward clear positive intentions towards your goals helps you to bring them to life. We are setting intentions constantly–– especially in the form of “worry”, why not consciously set the intentions you want? Unclear intentions create unclear outcomes. Here are some steps to help you create your intentions: l) Get clear on what you want; 2) State what you want in a positive way, 3) Be specific. Remain open to something even better than you can imagine.

Think of the cause-effect equation. Instead of seeing yourself as the effect and something else as the cause, responsibility means seeing yourself as both cause and effect of your situation. Accept that your past choices placed you in your current situation. Also accept that you are in complete charge of your learning, improving and growing in order to produce the results you want. The only true way out of a fix is to get over it and develop your ability to respond––call it your “response-ability”.

Success teams help you create your intention report which includes your values, purpose, life vision, personal affirmation, goals–-personal, professional and spiritual with action steps to make them your realities. The team will inspire and motivate you on the steps to the creation of and commitment to your intentions.

Other Success Team Processes:
Set up training in areas you discover you need for your goals.

• A meditation group

• A writing group

• A joy group – set up play dates

• A reading group

• Creative projects together

• Workout together

• Focus on Self Care – Balance Buddies

• Being a better parent

The Ingredients of a Success Team:
• People: Get the RIGHT people and place.

• Create a Safe Space: How do you create a safe space where people can be authentic and grow? Agree to: Honesty, confidentiality, and acceptance of uniqueness and individuality. Being an effective listener and speaker. Make sure if a person is comfortable with being touched BEFORE you touch them. Have fun. Be aware and conscious. Set and hold healthy boundaries.

• Listener: Listen from your heart and use your head to support them. Don’t give solutions unless you are brainstorming. Be open to feedback. Use all your senses to “hear”. Be compassionate.

• Speaker: Be mindful of the time you are taking. Is what you are about to say relevant to the topic? Be authentic. Come from your “I” place. Give neutral feedback. Don’t get caught in winning or being right. Tell the truth with compassion. Remember that NOT all truth needs to be told. Questions to ask yourself BEFORE sharing something: Is what I am about to say appropriate to the person and situation? What is my agenda in saying this?
Each Meeting Starts with a “Check In”

What is a Check In? Each person says where they are at in a brief way. This is not a pity party. Share without taking too much time from the group work. Come from your center, your perspective. Don’t judge, analyze or criticize yourself or others. In each session, each individual will share: How they are doing in general and how we can support them; how they are coming on their learning and growth; and how they are doing on their assignments.

THIS IS NOT THERAPY!!!! When to get help. Consider professional counseling when: You cry a great deal of the time. You find carrying on a normal conversation difficult. You are unusually forgetful. You’re agitated or jumpy most of the time. You can’t remember the last time you laughed. You lose things all the time. When you are in crisis. When a significant event happens in your life (retirement, death, divorce, health issues...yours or a loved one, life changes positive or negative, the last straw––one too many things has put you into overload).

WARNING LABEL: Being a member of a Success Team will change your life. Following your bliss isn’t always easy or fun AND it is well worth it.
